A Tale of Passion and Perseverance or How We Founded AxiomPrint Printing Company

Everything starts with a vision. Before anything great is achieved, the seed of an idea must be planted in someone’s imagination. The power of visionary thinking gives birth to new realities that shape our world for the better. With this in their minds our founders had a say to the world of Print.

Gary - CEOGary – CEO of AxiomPrint

What inspired you to start a printing company, and what challenges did you face during the early stages of the business?

“The inspiration of AxiomPrint stemmed from the realization of transforming a concept into a tangible product.  As a small graphic design business, we initially focused on creating stunning designs for our clients.  However,  we soon found ourselves hemmed in by the restrictions set by other print companies on quantity, turnaround and products.  We used multiple vendors to print various products.

Rather than giving up on our vision, we saw an opportunity to bridge a gap between traditional printing and local print shops. With this offering clients a wide range of products, express turnarounds and customization. We take great pride in using our expertise and resources to bring our client’s ideas to life in a way that aligns with their distinct preferences and requirements.”

The printing industry has come a long way since its inception, with technology advancements changing the way businesses approach their printing needs. In today’s digital age, staying on top of the latest trends in the printing industry is crucial for success. To my question how AxiomPrint stays informed about the latest developments in the printing industry and how to incorporate that knowledge into their business strategy, Gary continues:

When it comes to finding inspiration for new products and services, our clients are at the heart of all of this.  Our commitment to delivering the best possible results for our clients drives us to constantly seek out innovative printing technologies that enhance efficiency and quality while keeping costs affordable.

What to look forward to with AxiomPrint? We are excited to announce that we will soon be introducing 3D printing services to our valued clients.  With AxiomPrint, clients can always expect cutting-edge solutions that bring their vision to life with the utmost precision and excellence.”

From eco-friendly printing methods to 3D printing, the latest trends in the printing industry are shaping the way we do business, and it’s essential to stay informed and adapt to these changes to remain competitive.

The Bridge Between You and Us: How Our Account Managers Help You Achieve Your Objectives

Moving forward we arrive at the department of our account managers. Nothing is more valuable than the guidance and support in the complex world of printing. At AxiomPrint, account managers play a huge role in helping you achieve your printing objectives. They guide businesses and help them make the right decisions that align with their goals.

Emilia - Acoount ManagerEmilia – Account Manager

Can you discuss a time when you had to resolve a difficult customer issue, and how did you handle it?

“Hearing panic… when a customer calls for a print project that either another company dropped the ball on, or for whatever reason was ordered last minute… I love confidently taking that burden from the client. Hearing peace when they know they need not worry about said print project- then working our AXIOM MAGIC as a team, and seeing the reaction upon pick up. When they are ready for more, they will come with confidence knowing our team will have their back.”

AxiomMagic! Another term we use to ensure that deadlines are met, specifications are followed, and the final product meets or exceeds the client’s expectations. And everyone is happy!

How has the experience of working in the printing industry shaped your professional growth?

“As an Account Manager here at AxiomPrint, these are the moments I enjoy the most, I pour another cup of coffee and make more magic happen!”. Saying this Emilia smiles and guides us to turn to the door of the most colorful department.

Crafting Your Brand: Our Design and Marketing Approach

They say creativity is a fundamental aspect of human nature. It allows us to adapt, innovate, and thrive in an ever-changing world. This couldn’t go wrong in the case of AxiomPrint. This is where the expertise of our creative designers and marketers comes into play. They have a deep understanding of the principles of design and psychology, allowing them to create print materials that resonate with the target audience.

Tinna – Creative Graphic Designer

How do you balance creativity with the client’s branding and messaging requirements, and what strategies have you found to be effective in achieving that balance?

“The goal is to create something the client will love. To gauge how much creative freedom I have, I try to understand what the client wants to achieve. In general, I want the overall feel to represent the clients branding, and add a few small, but impactful creative elements.”

Just as no two snowflakes are alike, so too are the tastes of individuals as unique and varied as the patterns that emerge from freshly fallen snow. Indeed, the diversity of people’s tastes presents a unique challenge for designers. For which I proceed with a request to share an example of a project she worked on where she had to overcome a unique design challenge.

“One client was just starting to develop his brand identity. It was very eclectic and it wasn’t a style that I commonly designed. The client wanted so many details and colors which represented their uniqueness, but then it is my job to help condense those ideas into designed work that can be legible. We learned to compromise between technical design and creative details to create a balanced piece that also let the client’s personality and uniqueness show through.”

The challenge of designing for diverse tastes is an opportunity for designers to push the boundaries of their creativity, and to create truly innovative results. This too doesn’t go unnoticed for our marketing team.

Melanya - Marketing ManagerMelanya – Marketing Manager

How do you ensure that your marketing efforts align with the company’s overall goals and objectives?

“As a marketing manager of AxiomPrint, it’s crucial to establish a clear understanding of the company’s mission and vision. We work closely with other departments to ensure that everyone is on the same page and our marketing initiatives are aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives. This involves creating a marketing strategy that is driven by data and insight. We continuously monitor and optimize our campaigns to ensure they are delivering the desired results. And it drive the company towards its long-term goals and objectives.”

While I speak to Melanya, I see her sparkling eyes and how excitedly she shows me the marketing campaigns accomplished by the AxiomPrint marketing team.

What do you enjoy the most about working in marketing within the printing industry, and how has your experience shaped your approach to the role?

“What I enjoy the most is to see the project through from conception to completion. How all departments work together, from designers to production team, to bring our clients’ vision to life. I am thrilled to see the impact that our printing services can have on our clients’ businesses.

In my experience, it’s important to balance creativity with a data-driven approach. While it’s great to have a strong creative vision, at the same time it’s essential to use data and analytics to build long-term customer relationships  and deliver the best possible results for our clients and the company as a whole.”

Creative professionals treated me very well! I take my coffee and go ahead to the final department. The place where the magic happens!

The Printing Production Puzzle: How We Put It All Together

Printing production is the place where your ideas come to life! In today’s fast-paced business world, the ability to produce high-quality prints quickly and efficiently is more important than ever. The production process involves careful attention to detail. From selecting the right paper stock and ink to ensuring that every print is free from defects.

Manny - Prepress SubmitterManny – Prepress Submitter

Can you describe your experience working with various printing technologies and equipment?

“I have been in printing for 38 years, before computers. I have worked as a composer in the darkroom, have shot lineart on a horizontal camera, have run a 2 color offset press. I started using a Mac in 1989 with the first macs in the printing industry. Files could not be larger than 1.3 megabytes. I am fluid in all Prepress and design applications, Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator along with web and Video software, Premier Pro, DreamWeaver, After effects and for the young people in printing, GoLive, Freehand and Pagemaker.”

With so many options and alternatives, one should be a true expert to make everything work perfectly. To satisfy my curiosity I go on asking: How do you ensure the accuracy and quality of printed materials?

“Here at Axiom I am the Submitter. I am the last defense before a job hits the Printing department. I ensure that the files are set-up to meet or exceed the customers expectations on their final projects. I handle every job from our talented account managers to ensure we get the job through production and deliver on time.   Finding a company to work at like Axiom has been a blessing.  It’s a great experience where you are appreciated and valued as a part of the Axiom Family. And your voice is heard.”

Whether it’s a marketing brochure, a product catalog, or a company newsletter, the production team ensures the highest quality and accuracy.

Razmik - Production ManagerRazmik – Digital Production Manager

Can you describe a project you worked on that you’re particularly proud of, and why?

“As a digital printing production manager the project I can mention that made me really proud is adding new pieces of equipment to my production floor. Axiom now are way different than last 2-3 years. Lately, we’ve added a couple of new machines to the digital printing department. After doing some research and analyses with Gary it gives us the ability to offer some new products and features. Two new Xerox Iredesse printers, a new Heidelberg cutter, and the Brother T-shirt printer are some of our digital equipment. They helped Axiom and particularly myself to be proud of what we are doing as an Axiom production team. Obviously, this brings us more benefits and comfort which gives us more ability to advertise and offer new products on our website.”

Printing production requires a high level of expertise and technical skill, as well as a deep understanding of the printing process and the various tools and technologies involved.

How do you prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively to ensure projects are completed on time?

“The way that I manage my time is based on the jobs that I’m getting every working day. I sort out all the invoices that I get from the submitter. Then I organize every single job based on the work it needs. If there is a very simple print and cut job, I leave it for later to print on its due date or sooner. If the job has special features such as lamination, foil, spot UV, round cornering, folding, and gluing, I schedule it right away to go to the printer since we need to spend more time on those jobs to get them ready on time. Also, catalogs are very important products to me (High-value products). All kinds of catalogs (Saddle stitch, Perfect bound, Spiral binding, O-wire … ) have first priority. As soon as I get any of those catalogs I schedule the printing and binding as soon as possible. If the Catalog is short run I can even finish within the same day. But the big quantity jobs need more attention.”
