Commonly dusk jacket size is calculated the following way: The height of the open jacket is the same size as the book height. The width of the jacket is calculated with a formula. 
Width = (Book width) x 2 + Book Thickness + (Flap Size) x 2. Book flaps are usually 3" each, so it will be 6" added to get the full size of the book dust jacket.
